An approach grounded in insight, ownership, and lasting change.
Aaron Paul Zitouni is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Master (CASAC-M) based in Rockland County, NY, where he lives with his wife, Elana, and their three boys. Deeply rooted in the community he serves, Aaron combines advanced clinical training with a highly personalized, results oriented approach to care. He holds his LCSW with trauma certification from Wurzweiler School of Social Work and an M.S. Ed. in Music from the University of Bridgeport.
Aaron brings over a decade of experience in the behavioral health field, with a professional trajectory that spans both direct clinical work and program leadership. He began his career as a music teacher before transitioning into substance use and mental health treatment, holding roles at St. Christopher’s Inc. and Vincent’s Village with the Sisters of Charity, and later working at Serenity Center. He continues to serve as the Director of Rockland Community Residences for Lexington Center for Recovery, overseeing multiple residential programs and guiding individuals through critical stages of reintegration and recovery.
In addition to his leadership role, Aaron operates a private practice, offering discreet, high level care to adolescents and adults seeking more than surface level support. His work is designed for individuals who are functioning in their daily lives, yet recognize the need for deeper clarity, alignment, and internal change.
Aaron’s approach is both strategic and deeply human. He integrates evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness with experiential approaches such as Music and Art Therapy. Sessions are not simply a space to process, but a structured environment designed to challenge patterns, build insight, and create measurable forward movement.
He specializes in working with individuals navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, mood challenges, personality dynamics, trauma, and complex life transitions. His style is direct yet empathetic, balancing support with accountability and helping clients move from avoidance and reactivity toward ownership, clarity, and control.
Aaron’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that meaningful change requires the willingness to look inward, confront patterns, and engage in real work. He provides a space where that work can happen with intention, precision, and respect.
For those ready to move beyond maintaining appearances and toward building a life that is internally aligned, purposeful, and sustainable, Aaron offers a highly individualized and transformative therapeutic experience
